Magic Mountain Mix is a blend of dwarf Delphiniums producing flower spikes to 60cm, densely packed with small bell-shaped flowers in various shades of purple, blue, and white. These attractive blooms flower from June to early August the following year and are ideal for adding colour and structure to beds and borders. As a dwarf variety, these Larkspur flowers don’t need to be staked and can tolerate exposed, windy conditions well.

Sow Delphinium Magic Mountain Mix seeds in trays from February to June and keep them in a warm spot until the seedlings are large enough to handle. Transplant into 9cm pots ready to gradually harden off and plant out in the flowering site from June to August, once the risk of frost has passed. Choose a spot in full sun in moist but well-draining soil and leave 60cm between plants. Water Delphiniums regularly until they are firmly established. Deadhead spent blooms as required and cut back to ground level after the plant withers in autumn, ready for it to spring back into life the following season.
