Viburnum tinus Purpureum is an evergreen shrub with some very attractive features to bring into any garden. New foliage appears in a lovely bronze colour, before eventually transitioning to green as the plant ages. It is not just the colour-changing leaves that make it a must-have, it is also the array of beautifully scented white flowers that bloom from pink-red budding during Winter and Spring. Viburnums are great plants for any level of plant lover to grow due to their low maintenance nature and colourful end product. They can be placed in full sun or partial shade. Most soil types are suitable, as long as they are kept moist and well-drained. Most varieties are drought tolerant, therefore they need minimal water.
