Pansy Winter Flowering Mixed

These Pansy Winter Flowering Mixed seeds produce a cheerful show of flowers, bringing colour to the garden at a time of year when not much else is happening. They grow well in beds and borders but are also well suited to growing in pots and containers, making them an excellent choice for winter hanging baskets. This blend of seeds creates a colourful show in mixed shades of red, blue, purple, red, yellow, and white. The blooms are irresistible to early pollinators, enticing bees and butterflies into the garden from spring.

Sow Winter Flowering Pansy seeds in trays under a cold frame from May to August. Cover with a sprinkling of compost and keep at 15-20C. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into a nursery bed with 10cm spacing. Plant Winter Pansies out from September to October, allowing 25cm between plants. Choose a spot in full sun or partial shade and plant in moist but well-draining soil. Deadhead spent blooms regularly to promote continuous flowering and a season-long display.
