Rosemary 'Sudbury Blue' is an upright selection cultivated primarily for its intensely blue flowers and aromatic, needle-like foliage. This resinous, pine-like flavour is released powerfully when the leaves are roasted or crushed. It is traditionally used as the premier seasoning for roast lamb and potatoes, while the vibrant flowers are edible and add a splash of colour to salads.

This plant is typically grown as a hardy evergreen shrub with a vertical habit. It is robust and cold-tolerant, provided it is not sitting in water. For the best results and maximum flowering, plant it in a location with full sun. It is highly drought-tolerant once established and thrives in poor, chalky, or sandy soil with excellent drainage.
