Commonly known as Gentian sage, Salvia Patio Deep Blue provides interest through the summer and autumn months. Erect stems rise from a mound of green foliage to produce open panicles of vibrant blue hooded flowers that are incredibly popular with bees and other pollinators.

This clump forming perennial grows well in most sunny spots and requires little maintenance to remain healthy and attractive. Deadheading spent flowers will help promote new blooms and prolong the flowering period. The plant will reach full maturity within 2-5 years.

Salvia Patio Deep Blue is a half hardy perennial and can withstand cold temperatures to around -5 °C. This is a versatile perennial that works well in flower beds, borders and containers. It is also popular for flower cuttings to arrange or dry.
